What is a family reunion website doing talking about baby shower games? Well, in our Wells family, we would never think of having a get-together without inviting the WHOLE family so when we have a family bridal shower or baby shower everyone comes! (Of course the guys don't like it when we call it a "shower" so we stick to using the word "party".) The challenge for this kind of family shower is to choose games and activities that everyone of all ages will enjoy playing. Some of our favorites are :
Baby Price is Right
Purchase 10 baby items you think the parents-to-be will need. Use “Price is Right” cards to write the price of each item on one side, and the item itself on the other. Each guest must guess the price of the items on the cards, the person with the highest total—without going over—wins. Best of all, the parents-to-be get to keep the handy baby items used for the game.
Baby Jeopardy Game
Play like the popular television game show. Questions, answers, topic heading cards and number cards are included in this party printable. Printables come in both blue and pink.
Guess the Baby
Askyour guests to bring a baby picture of themselves to the shower many will forget but if you ask them to email you a photo you will have better success. If your party is for family members it should be quite easy to get digital copies of early photos, perhaps from your own files. Number each picture and post them where everyone can see. Hanging them from a clothes line with clothes pins is a fun way to display them but taping them to the wall works just as well. Give everyone a copy of the “Name the Baby “paper with a list of numbers that correspond to the number of pictures, and ask them to fill in their guesses of which baby picture belongs to each guest. The person with the most correct guesses wins.
Pink or Blue
To play this game you will need a to print out several sheets of the blue and pink cards and you will need to wrap some baby items such as lotion, wipes, binky, powder, chocolate etc. The goal of this game is to make sure the mom-to-be is fully equipped with the necessities for her baby. This is played similar to a popular white elephant game but benefits the mom-to-be. This is a fun game for the entire family. Pink and blue cards are included with this printable.
