{"id":2069,"date":"2014-11-02T14:41:00","date_gmt":"2014-11-02T14:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/familyreunionhelper.com\/blog\/?p=2069"},"modified":"2014-10-20T14:46:51","modified_gmt":"2014-10-20T14:46:51","slug":"punch-board-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/familyreunionhelper.com\/blog\/2014\/11\/punch-board-game\/","title":{"rendered":"Punch Board Game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/familyreunionhelper.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/causey-003.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"causey 003\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"causey 003\" src=\"http:\/\/familyreunionhelper.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/causey-003_thumb.jpg\" width=\"163\" height=\"244\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Punch Board For Your Family Reunion<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ve seen punch boards on the popular TV game show, The Price is Right, but a punch board can be a fun addition to your family reunion.&#160; A punch board can be an exciting way to award prizes at your family reunion.&#160; You can use a punch board to make assignments or choose what activity you will do next. <\/p>\n<p>A larger board can also be a fair way to divide into teams- for example- write families names on slips of paper (Aunt Geri\u2019s family or Uncle Dan\u2019s family etc.)&#160; Punch two or more holes- those families join&#160; together to make a tug a war, softball or family skit group.&#160; You can use the same strategy to assign seating for meals to mix things up a bit.<\/p>\n<h2>Creating Your Punch Board<\/h2>\n<p>To create your punch board you will need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>sturdy poster board or a piece of cardboard<\/li>\n<li>tissue paper<\/li>\n<li>Plastic disposable&#160; bowls, lunch sacks or sandwich bags<\/li>\n<li>prizes<\/li>\n<li>tape &amp; hot glue<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/familyreunionhelper.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/causey-001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"causey 001\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"causey 001\" src=\"http:\/\/familyreunionhelper.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/causey-001_thumb.jpg\" width=\"244\" height=\"163\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\">The first&#160; punch board we created we used one&#160; sheet&#160; of tissue paper to cover the entire back of the board.&#160; Since then we have found that covering each hole with individual squares seems to work best as&#160; punching one hole may pull the paper from around other holes.&#160; Tape each square securely around individual&#160; holes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2>Behind the Punch Board<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are several&#160; options for hiding prizes behind your punch board.&#160; My favorite option is plastic bowls.
